tender is the might

daca te uiti la synecdoche, new york fara sa stii [presupunem prin absurd] cine l-a scris, te prinzi dupa max 20 de minute. why, it's charlie kaufman, the enticing dwarf! adica omul care a fost john malkovich, care a furat orhidee si care a avut curajul sa scrie pentru jim carrey, curaj pentru care as vrea sa-l felicit personal lol.

ce am decriptat eu in film:

- regizorul ca superputere dictatoriala [dumne]zeiasca - 'miscatorul nemiscat'

- fiinta ca suma a complexitatilor fiintelor care-l inconjoara - personajul lui phillip seymour hoffman e toti ceilalti

- arta ca redare a sinelui - all artists are self obsessed, egotistical narcissists - so what else is new:): there are nearly thirteen million people in the world. none of those people is an extra. they're all the leads of their own stories. they have to be given their due.

si un fragment din cronica lui michael phillips de la chicago tribune, care a sintetizat superb parte din ce am simtit si eu cand am vazut filmul: Now and then, though, you encounter a film roomy enough to walk around in, like an art installation. It might get you vexed, or lost. But you might work your way out of the labyrinth to find yourself shaken up and genuinely moved by the experience. “Synecdoche, New York,” the new film from screenwriter and first-time feature director Charlie Kaufman, has provoked an astonishing variety of responses from those who have walked around in it. Fabulous. Worst film ever. Spellbinding. Like listening to paint dry, while watching someone else watch paint dry. It’s an imperfect sprawl, steeped in the juices of artistic torment, romantic nostalgia, a mordant sense of humor and a landscape of “vague regrets and vaguer hopes,” as one character puts it.

romania has scored. yet again.
